The fact that Michael didn't spot that note while spinning the dial and still knew where the needle had landed just by looking at the angle of the needle shows how much twister they really played

The symbolism of this piece is great. I enjoy the constant allusion to things being late or time being up. Michael was obviously someone close to Not Michael, someone with whom he'd play Twister frequently. But suddenly, Michael has become distant to Not Michael. They've become estranged to one another, and with all the time that Not Michael spends away from Michael, the more time he has to realize that he and Michael don't have as much in common as he thought. But Michael is an unfortunate figure in that he doesn't realize he's doing this to Not Michael. So it comes to a boiling point. The monologue about pizza wasn't just random - it's an analogue to the tenuous connection between Michael and Not Michael. It isn't until it's too late that Michael acknowledges his friend, I.E. when the party is over and the pizza is poised to be late. And even at the end of the day, Michael still didn't want to spend time with his friend doing something they genuinely used to enjoy together. Not Michael literally had to hold him at gunpoint just for Michael to give him the time of day. And I donno about you, but I don't know if you'd call someone you have to hold at gunpoint to get them to interact with you your friend.

Not Michael only wanted one thing, and... I suppose you could say that Michael didn't deliver in time.
