Last time I went to the dmv the girl sent me home to get another document I needed. When I came back the guy said she was wrong and I had everything right the first time. Wasted 2 hours for nothing 🤦🏼‍♀️

Went to the post office to get my passport for mexico. I needed various forms of identification etc.

Me: *passes papers*

Them: "Sorry sir, we need your Birth Certificate."

Me: "I gave you my Birth Certificate."

Them: "No sir, this is your Certificate of Birth..."

Just the other day, I was at the DMV, and there were some international students. The students were having trouble understanding the DMV person, and instead of rephrasing the question, she just began shouting at them

You're not going to believe this. I had the exact same experience with the post office, so the next time I went, I wrote the address on the package by hand in advance. Then, when I walked up thinking I was all prepared, the guy literally scolds me for writing the address saying I shouldn't do that because that's what the label is for! The post office is ridiculous.

The rudeness of American government workers is astonishing to me as someone that came from the Netherlands. I never experienced it in the Netherlands. But in the states they seem to like that power and show us how miserable they are doing their job. Good to hear fellow Americans feels the same way about it

I do all my mailing with UPS. Why would anyone go to the the poat office??

I had to do this exact same thing at the post office the other day. I said this for the last 45 years that they need someone at the front deck and help people before they stand in line to get up to the window to be told to get out of the line to go do something else. What a waste of time.
This is as bad as the TSA at the airport that think that everybody travels by plane every day. I’m 61 years old and I can count on one hand how many times I’ve flown, and it’s not five.
Sometimes a little direction helps.
The DMV and the post office must have a requirement that you have no personality to work there.

Every post office in my area opens at 8:00am then closes for lunch at 11:00am and re opens at 1:00pm and closes for the day at 3:00pm. Literally opens after I'm at work, closed on my lunch break, and close just before I get off work. I have to take time off work to mail anything.

I went to the post office a week before Christmas and they had one person working with an average wait time of 15 minutes per person. I legit said this is why the government is pointless
