During those years in KC, Joe Cool closed some unfinished business. Like sending the message here: "You'll win the SuperBowl this year, Steve - But you'll never beat ME". He also got to defeat Elway at Mile High, which he was unable to do while in SF, and other magical sparks, to the very end of his career.

As a 49er I was so glad that the Master schooled the student once again and keep in mind that 49ers team won the Superbowl that year so the chiefs didn't have a cake walk. One of my favorite games ever cause the GOAT proved he still had it despite all the injuries he had to deal with over his career.

The 93-94 #KansasCityChiefs was one of the best NFL teams in the 100 seasons of the league in my opinion. #JoeMontana at Qb, #MarcusAllen at RB, and #DerrickThomas (RIP) leading that Defense you cant beat that. I was 15 at my neighbors house watching the game because my mom wouldn't let me watch it at the home ( I didnt go to church earlier that day) but it was a great game that I'll never forget #Classic

#58 for the Chiefs, the late Derrick Thomas, is one of the greatest players to ever step on a football field. This man could dominate a game just like LT of the Giants.

That was a really fun game. This was early in Joe's Chiefs tenure so he still looked relatively healthy. As time wore on he looked like a dead man walking but he still had that team playing well.

BTW dream SB QB matchup we never got: Fouts vs Montana. I can't remember if you posted it or not but there's a FUN high scoring Chargers/Niners game from 1982 you can post at some later date.

The Chiefs dominated this game, just wish they could have made SB, which would have been a way better game than the destruction we saw vs the Chargers

I remember that Chief team. We really thought we had a super bowl team, came pretty close too. Great to see Derrick Thomas get that safety
