finally found a buddy into m44 and starting playing through the scenarios. Very fun game, we both cheered on the last roll

10:37 - The card says that tanks must stop, but can attack when moving into barbed wire. It is clear from the card that tanks can not keep moving after hitting barbed wire that turn.

One rule that you forgot: since the scenarios are asymmetrical (and some are deliberately unbalanced for historical accuracy), it's recommended to play a scenario twice, with players swapping sides, and then using the total scores to determine the overall winner.

It certainly is more approachable than something like Axis & Allies. Just got this one for Christmas 2020, can't wait to get someone to sit down and play it with me. Nice vid, thanks for the quick run down.

I remember my first time playing memoirs 44. I remember playing as the Germans while my friends played the Allies during the Omaha landings. First turn I managed to snipe their tank divisions with artillery, crippling their right flank. It was hilarious seeing the abject shock and horror in their faces when they realized they had lost a full force of tanks before the battle truly started.

I've never looked at buying a board game for a long time, but this looks both amazing, simple and unlike Risk and Monopoly, not to long!

Great video. I bought Memoir 44 with several expansions over a year ago and have yet to open them. I have been waiting for an opportunity to play with someone, but to no avail. I'm about to play solo. It looks like it would still be fun.

If you like Memoir '44 please try Commands & Colors Napoleonic's or Ancients. Same system just different historical periods.
