No wonder my dad was a true cowboy! He could break, shoe, brand, and ride any kind of horse. One time while trying to break a horse, the horse bit my dad, my dad just bit him back. My dad always wore a mustache because he had a scar above his upper lip from being thrown by a horse he was breaking. He said a horse would never break him. My grandpa was a medicine man, wish they were still here.

My Turkic ancestors tamed the horse out on the Steppe where riding horses made sense. No one lived out on the Prairie until they were pressed by colonization to do so at the same time the лаша showed up. It's the logic of intelligent People. FYI our Ute ancestors started the northward journey from Peru. Doing the 4 circles around the Land. Like all Ute did for a millennia. Eastern Ute were wiped out in a great mound builder finale. by the colonists. D' good thing the western Ute remained on the prairie.

The Comanche are speaking Uto-Aztecan so that tells me they were of the many groups that were escaping this "civilization" of the Aztec. So to compare them with what they loathe is just plain foolish. Most people still have no idea what has happened, is happening and where humanity is headed.

Amazing, the Comanche were masters of the horse after the European expansion had already begun sweeping across the Continent. Their cruelty against other tribes is also well documented.

You would be amazed at how many people in this country think that south Americans have always spoke English, and that horses have always been here 😅. It's not funny, really. It's sad.

Related to Mexicans and Aztecs who themselves were said to have migrated to Mexico from the southwest region.

It's not true that the Spanish introduced the horse to the first nations. That's white man's teachings.

I wonder if the US military took the term"adapt and overcome" from this tribe?
It would not surprise me in the least.
