They aren't reality tv actors... they are normal every day hard working miners that a camera crew decided to follow around.

Of course they won't interview well or have much tv presence

Absolutely incredible what they do, 12hr days would be a short work day out there and there is no rest days, maybe a few days a month at most

Let me spoon feed some questions to your interviewers. Rick: as the season progresses things always seem to break down? Yes! Can you put into words how much you appreciated Tony giving you a peace of equptnent, for free!!! Talk about having friends in the gold minding business, Rick did you know the guy who sold you durt Reynolds also send you wouldn’t make it? Tony, you missed a few buckets this year why didn’t you put a bounty on finding those buckets???? Parker you almost killed your head mechanic? Rick talk about how much you learned from a 18 year old before you started your own business, just a few question tgat cane to the top of my mind. I think you should fly me in next time to interview these guys! Ok. Sound great

If “Gold rush” was not SO scripted it would have been a LOT more interesting. Its the same with all these Discovery channel series. They use to be interesting, now its all scripted all in the name of sensation and views.

Why do people, who clearly don’t watch the show interview these guys. They ask uninteresting questions for the regular viewer. An interviewer who interviews the “top rated show on Discovery” needs to have done their homework and have shown insight. Gold Rush is a show that deals with intense pressure situations, problem solving personalities, interpersonal relationships and risk. Not to mention beautiful scenery and great filming.

I don’t know what the interviewers where planning to get from their interview. Advice: Do your homework, especially for a show with this prestige.

I’m pulling for rick to do well. Cat’s got work ethic for days, and learned a lot of good shit while working for Parker. Hope he proves to himself that he is indeed cut out for the position as the shot caller
