About us,

We are a family from the North-East of England following our dream to restore a beautiful abandoned french Château. We discovered the heart stopping Château De Lalacelle in summer of 2020, this beautiful architectural monument Is set in the countryside of North-West France.

The moment we visited the Château we all fell in love, from the beautiful sweeping landscape and forests, to its stunning untouched interiors and magnificent spiral staircase in the turret.

Unfortunately Château De Lalacelle has been abandoned for a number of decades so will need a lot of restoration and DIY.

I teared up seeing how pleased/happy Tracy is now that her lounge is furnished. Comfort and joy. You have all worked so hard for this. Just seeing the dogs in a furnished room, on a dog bed and the sofa is a treat.

We've not see Tracy smile so much in a while. She was just so excited. As we're the dogs. It just goes to show how much our possessions create a warm and comfortable home. Just beautiful! Bravo.

Did anyone else notice Tony peak his head in to make sure Tracy wasn't within view of him walking in with his boots on? Cheeky lad. He got a chuckle out of me. "No mucky boots on me clean floor. No excuses!"

It is truly wonderful to see you all making such rapid progress. I know it doesn't feel like it when you're in the thick of it. You all have developed muscles you never knew exist and built-up the other. It looks as though some weight was shed too. Each of your faces keep growing slimmer. As mum always says....more butter and cream will keep your weight healthy. Along with a few additional sweets. Haha

All of the hard work is coming together. Glad there is a slice of normal with the furniture in the cottage. Will send you a couple of pics for ideas on how to hide spaghetti junction. Love the snow images that accent the bones of the chateau. The ponds, trees, etc.

Such a joyful episode. The start of the video was near magical. How you got that clip of squirrel Terry is beyond me, but I am so pleased you managed. So precious. The music just drew me right in. If that was not enough we got to see furniture go in. Now a lovely, cozy room. Not done, but oh so much more home like. Wonderful episode finished off with the funny, pun in cheek song.
