Amazing! I’ve been teaching myself how to work with shadesEQ for the past 2 years, started very small with a few shades, the more I learn the more I fall in love. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!

hi Craig! Do you have any transformations that you could show which relate to doing light, cool shades balayage (lowlights and highlights) that allows for less maintenance when it comes to people with more than 50% gray, say if someone wanted to stop colouring their roots every 3 weeks? I feel like in general, there isn't much content on this. I know it is a complicated process especially if you have an already partly coloured "canvas" but I feel like it would be a very interesting project

Was wondering if you wanted this color but have previous blonde hair. Would you have to go in and fill the hair cuticle with a light copper gold first or can this be applied to blonde without filling the hair first?

If the lighter NB shades are used like 7 or 8 on a level 5/6 would they look like highlights on a fine haired guest?

When you say this covered a level 4, do you mean her roots were a level 4 plus had some greys?

My roots a level 4, with some greys.
I ddint think Shades Eq provided lift

But your rnd swatch looks lighter than a level 4? So did it lift or did the combo of Shades Eq you used give this lighter look with the warmth etc ?

Thanks for the info Craig. I used to use Shades EQ years ago on my non grey hair and it was wonderful. Currently with about 40-50% grey hair I use a demi permanent from ION which covers it great. Can I do the same with Shades EQ? I have dark brown hair with caramel highlights and would love to switch to Shades EQ as it leaves my hair in better condition.

I have 50% white roots and used 9N for 20 minutes but it did not cover them and it was too light. After seeing this, I would like your advice. I see WG only comes in 4, 6 & 8. Since 9N is too light and I do not want ash or gold, can I add just a small amount of 4WG to the 9N? If not, what would you suggest Craig?

I've decided to try gey blending with shades but I am perplexed about which warm tone to mix with my level 6NB..rather I am at a base level 6ish..so 6NB and ?? for warmth? I don't want to LOOK warm but realize it is a necessary element:) Thanks!

Right now I’m a 9N & 9P from zone 2 & 3 My greys are coming in about 50% grey Could I use the 9N and 9P to a level 6 to blend the greys ways. I’m so tired of bleach it out. I was thinking perhaps using a demi so it just hits my greys and hopefully my hair will look as if I foiled or balayages it. I’ve been educated on other color lined in the past but Im not educated on the Redken line although I do use their toners and for my hair 9P & 9N are my go to colors for my toner.

If I have very dark brown Asian hair and want to blend greys (about 20% grey) but like them to kind of look like highlights, would using 04NB with 04N or 04NA work? Or should I be going lighter? Thank you!

Hello, Craig of World of Craig, Love all your videos about Redken Shades EQ. I have a question. If you mix 04NB (Maple) and 04WG (Sun Tea) to get golden brown, then could you use foil and 06CB (Amber Glaze) to do tiny highlights to add some copper red highlights. I suppose one might have to do foiling a few times due to the time constraints of 20 minutes. I naturally have golden brown hair and used to have a lot of tiny red highlights but they have faded with age. Trying to find something that might give me that effect. Thank you for reading my question and I hope it's okay that I asked for help. :)

I use 5n, and I want to add 5nb for grey coverage, but can’t seem to find that color anywhere! I can only find 4nb and 6nb. If I use 6nb will I still get coverage? I don’t want to get a darker result…

Thanks, I love your channel so much!! Thank you for sharing your wisdom and beautiful results.

What is your recommendation for gray blending to match level 6 dark Ash blonde while blending grays?
I know NB is for gray blending but it will make it warm!
