This is testament to the seemingly fathomless pit of empathy and emotional intelligence that Taylor has, that he has the courage to look beyond the monstrous pseudo messianic image of Koresh and actually delve deeper, to seek out his backstory and the layers of flawed humanity that evolved from Koresh's rough, damaging upbringing. This is not to make excuses for the at times terrible, inexcusable decisions Koresh made, more to get a handle of the real reasons why he made them. This is moral courage at it's finest. And I'm so bloody gutted that I won't get to see Taylor's tour de force performance here in the UK.
