Can’t tel you how happy I am that you made this level 5 series. I started renovating my house a couple years ago and based all my drywall off learning from your videos. But I hate texture. Looking forward to finally doing level 5 the right way. Thanks Ray

Even though I taught level 5 on my channel, here in Colorado, I'm rarely asked to do it. A skip trowel is more popular and kind of fitting for the mountains. We mostly do level 5 in hospitals and such. Watched all 3 in your series though, and pretty much the same as I do it, except for that final method, that I won't give away here.

I taught myself to do level 5 . How I got to learn it is a long story lol but IMHO it’s the only finish there is . I enjoy doing that work 👍 ( a side note. I guessed the drywall doctor was from Illinois before I saw in a vid where he mentioned it. I could tell because he seems to do a lot of “ basement “ work. I paid attention to the background in his vids. I was looking out the windows and could see the street, the houses, the trees. Lots of basement work in Illinois haha. I’ve done “ a few “ myself being born and raised and living in n.illinois most of my life) and about the same age as the drywall doctor. I am interested to see how he does his finish. He is pretty talented. Way more knowledge than me. I enjoy learning

you ever just use the next size down board on your used 3/8 board for 1/2 in board just in joint between 2 factory middle band that your taping …….so ill sometimes buy couple sheets of 3/8ths and rest 1/2 inch just for the bands...

We had always called that rip a belly ban really despise it when I walk in and see it at the top at the bottom forget about it I’ve rarely been asked to perform level 5 when I do the pay level is 6
