Chamberpoint Ep.6: Rebirth

The cyclops may have been killed, but in it's wake, Chamberpoint suffers. The dwarves of the coastal resistance cannot afford this slip up, and so look to their gods and their trusted mayor for guidance...

Big thanks to the wonderful composers who really helped set the scene:

Thanks to the BEST colorizer around: Mrs. Kruggsmash!
A HUGE thanks to all of my patrons, without whom I would not be doing these videos right now!
And last but certainly not least, thank *you* for watching, m'bastard. I couldn't do it without you.

I always knew that the only good elf was a dead elf, but never imagine they would be this good.

This seems like Another episode of a great upstanding Fortress that would never fall for any sort of Necromantic suicide Cult!

And so the cycle repeats with a splinter cell from chamber point leaving to build up strength and attack chamber point for their unholy rituals.

Holy crap this really took a dark turn. I'm not sure Chamberpoint has the moral high ground anymore, not after this. Also that cyclops... It's as if Armok himself sent it to test the reborn.

Well, what can I say. That... escalated. Quite so.

Chamberpoint: _We are going to stop evil necromancer from taking over the world!_

The World: _Yeah!_

Chamberpoint: _But for this job we must achieve peace and cohesion amongst our ranks!.._

The World: _Go for it, Chamberpoint!_

Chamberpoint: _...by turning our ranks into undead!_

The World: _Wait, what?_

Armies of two necromancers rushes towards each other, burning the world in their wake.

The World:

Now we need Moldath to give the "I felt great disturbance in the force." speech.

I’m glad Ted and the others were spared. Maybe save ‘rebirth’ for trouble makers? Think of it as Dwarven therapy.

Now we just need some of the Honeystoker Dwarves to turn up out of nowhere and the plot will reach 4D Chess levels of complicated.

You remember how Scorchfountain was destroying necromancer towers before they turned their eyes to world domination? Yeah, I think they need to start again before undead dwarf-Jonestown rolls up to their doorstep.

I do like how the comments on the last few episodes were "Yeah Chamberpoint is morally grey, sure, but otherwise better than the world-dominating, warmongering Scorchfountain!" and now it's more uh "Are we the baddies?"

I feel like you've really refined your art Krugg, especially in regards to the forgotten beasts and the gods. Really impressive work. Also if I'm remembering right, it is Mrs. K who does the colouring to your lines and I must say that's only gotten better too! The effects on that babies' hands and eyes in particular were sublime. Very creepy! I'm honestly just as excited to see you two continuing to bring story to visual life as I am to find out what happens next.

I like that both Chamberpoint and Scorchfountain are subject to a descent into darkness based upon at least at first good intentions.

How pleaasing, Moldath the Eternal is truly a mighty overlord.
Even without lifting a finger, the Enemies of Peace and All That Is Good are killing themselves.
Literally, truly, never have such a more righteous leader have ever walk the continent.
Pray for Moldath the Eternal, though he surely not need it.

Moldath:
- charms an entire fortress with morbid humor and 'dying lessons', and ascends to Baron by way of the popular will
- oversees the construction of the most massive and elaborate fortress in the realm,
- commissions the most opulent amenities for even the most lowly laborers,
- wages war against every enemy, rival and allied kingdom and conquers them all sometimes leading from the front
- crushes the enclaves of the necromancers as a matter of course,
- orchestrates the capture of rocs, one of the most terrifying and savage creatures of the surface world and the source of his own familly's tragic deaths....and bends them to his will, making them his playthings
-routinely feeds captured cyclops and giants to the volcano...proves so effective that the capture of these beasts is a routine dull affair
-elevates his people to the supreme political and military power in the realm

<Spoiler alert>

Udil:
-wasnt able to keep the residents of a fishing village from beating each other to death, so he convinced them all to commit mass suicide and be raised as walking corpses

You see this is why I'm on team Moldath fellas.

You know, it really looks like the beardless baron has a point. I'd bet if I just quietly slipped away to go immegrate into one of his holdings, I'd have a more comfortable life and not have to worry about my neighbors shanking me for a spoon.

"You have become the very thing you have sworn to destroy."

And I *love* it. Keep up the good work!
