I think she likes to downplay Serena’s talent. She said, “Maybe it was Serena before” as if Serena had injuries or was losing left and right. Serena had to go on Maternity leave after beating her Older Sister at the first Major of the year while pregnant. So maybe there are some Superwomen and Serena is still a class above the rest. 🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️
Oh and there was also 5 different #1 Players after her leave and that says a lot.

I’m happy she’s being honest. I wish she’d step it up and maybe creating super confident, go-getting attitude will help. This new generation has the talent but lacks the star power.

The WTA conveniently inventing rivalries for the upcoming season. Taking advantage of Garbiñe's words, creating controversy where there is none. Why don't you go fucking interview your slavic princess Wozniacki, or even Pliskova?
Anyway I don't see Serena as the dominant force in 2018. Serena won't be able to restore the order and there will be an equitable distribution of points, as is already happening. There are too many good players at a very high level. No one is going to exert an absolute dominance over the others. That's my prediction for 2018
