PSA for all Americans: England doesn't equal Britain

Ah Gibraltar, that one point of tension between the UK and Spain. Not to mention one of the most interesting commercial airports in the world as an active four lane road used to cross the runway and had to shut down every time the runway needed to be used

I’d also like to add Benidorm to the list of England in Spain.

I used to live nearby in Andalucia. We would do cigarette runs to buy our tobacco in Gibralter

Gibraltar is not part of the UK and especially not part of England. It is a British overseas territory.

What a coincidance, I was there last week and we could tell immediatly that it’s British ground because the minute we got past bordercontrol it got misty and it started raining 😂😂

Saying Gibraltar is in Spain is equivalent to saying Alaska is in Canada

England is a weird way to put it for a geography channel

Gibraltar is not a part of England, it’s a British Oversees Territory.

Saying it’s England is like saying that Puerto Rico is California - it’s inaccurate and makes no sense.

Gibraltar is a uk dependancy. It was given to the UK by Spain, under the Utrecht peace treaty, along with several island, which subsequently were I then invaded and captured by Spain. They also attempted to invade Gibraltar on several occasions but failed. The people of Gibraltar hold a referendum several years ago, which asked if they wanted to be controlled by/ ruled by Spain, or remain a UK dependancy. With a land slide result they votes to stay a uk dependancy.

Johnny Harris would be the last person I'd expect to use the word England here
