Great video! I love how you simplify writing a description by putting yourself in someone else's shoes. Thank you!

Thank you for this video, sweet lady! So very helpful! Etsy gives me the prompt that longer product descriptions sell better… but I had no idea what else to say! Haha! I have some really exciting inspiration after hearing your great advice!
OH and my favorite tip- benefits and not just basic info!!! 💕

Thank you! 🙏 I am glad I found your video first. I don't think there is any need for me to watch other videos since you covered everything.! The tip about hooking them first and providing the product details later is truly a gem! You have helped me start off with the task I was dreading to do.

Great video!! For anyone selling leather goods, I will note that genuine leather is actually a grade of leather, and it is the lowest quality leather. The highest quality is full-grain or top-grain.

Hi Deb! Thank you for such a good video and a perfect timing for it as I am currently reworking some of my product descriptions and SEO. The best tip for me was probably no.1 - Use simple words- although all of the tips are great! I somehow thought that by describing it in official terms I will sound more professional. Instead I turned some of my product names into a so called "professional slang" I.e.words that are understood only if you work in the same industry, like IT professionals or doctors talk between each other without realising because it comes so naturally!! I guess it is easy to drift away and forget that your brand isn't actually about you but about your audience 😀 thanks Deb!

Thank you for sharing your knowledge on this!!! I’ve watched many videos about product descriptions and yours was packed with all the tips I was looking for unlike all the things I already knew (the basics).

Thanks Deborah for your amazing tips. I love the tip about not using generic terms- which I was doing and about organizing info into paragraphs... going to work on all my listings today. You're amazing. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I just subscribed.

Thank you. I just found your videos yesterday and the ones I've watched so far have been very helpful thank you again. I am a new Etsy seller I open my shop in November and have had only 1 sale. It's been very frustrating for so many reasons. I'm selling P.O.D. looking for very good quality mock up photos being a professional photographer myself has been very frustrating. I can't afford to buy all my products and photograph them myself, nor do I have the money to buy photos. I did join Place it, but the quality of the photos I don't really meet my standard and it's very frustrating. I have come up with some flat lay images from another company, but getting images has been my biggest delay. The other big delay has been listing descriptions and SEO. Your videos explained it better to me and I do use Erank and watch videos from a manager at Erank, and she is good, but a bit on the immature side of things. I find it frustrating and I don't have much patience for that.I don't want to talk bad about her. Thank you again for your videos.

Can you practice writing product descriptions using Google docs and using that as your portfolio?

Just found you... so helpful! For 5 years I’ve been starting my descriptions with the same text used as my title. I(we- friends of mine too) were “taught” that artsy search for the same words in the description.... Is that no longer a good thing? Thanks!
