His first three releases hit number one. Andy was born in 58 which was the year the BeeGees was established. Barry and Andy had identical birthmarks. They were more alike than the twins were. You should check out Andy Gibb on the Midnight Special singing, I Just Wanna Be Your Everything. His first hit. They have an older sister named Leslie. She filled in a few times during the 18 months when Robin had left the group. (68 to 70). They wrote Too Much Heaven, Tragedy and Shadow Dancing on the same day and all were number one hits. In January of 1988 they announced that Andy would be joining the BeeGees as a permanent member but sadly he passed away on March 10th just five days after his 30th birthday. Their father was a drummer during the big band era and mom was a backup singer. All five of the Gibb siblings children have collaborated recording songs together. Some original songs and some of the brothers songs. Something I find amazing is none of them could read music. Brilliantly talented family.

Takes me back to my teenage years. ‘Love Is Thicker Than Water’ and ‘I Just Want to Be Your Everything’ are bangers also. Thanks for the reaction.

Barry Gibb wrote a lot of Andy's songs. Andy's biggest hits in the later 70's were "(Love Is) Thicker Than Water", "I Just Want To Be Your Everything", "An Everlasting Love", "(Our Love) Don't Throw It All Away". Sadly he passed away at only 30 years of age. Now only Barry is left from the 4 brothers. But at least we have a great legacy of their music.

I was so in love Andy at 10 yrs old.. so funny now. I know now it was mostly Barry.. if I had been older at the time.. Barry was the hottie. It's still sad that Barry has lost all his younger brothers.

This was released during the Bee Gees "imperial period" where they dominated the charts with their own tunes, or those they wrote. Samantha Sang's Emotion is another one from this era that has the Bee Gees signature.
This is my favourite Andy Gibb tune, so I'll leave suggestions to others. Hoiever, this tune is featured in Olivia Newton John's 1978 tv special; it's featured in a medly alongside ABBA, and Olivia's hits. It's a 20 minute performance wwll worth reacting to if you want a longer video 🎉

Thanks for reacting. Andy was such a great talent, taken from us way too soon😢
This song was written by all 4 brothers and backups by Barry.
Barry also wrote:
I Just Want To Be Your Everything
Love Is Thicker Than Water
Our Love Don’t Throw It All Away
All great songs that Andy sang

The hair is "feathered ". They cut it back in a feathering cut. I had that. I graduated that year. 78. That was actually PRE mullet. Lol. Mullett came out in the eighties. I had that too.😂

Andy Gibb was a major teen idol based on my two nieces reaction to him! This was his biggest of his three #1 hits, 7 weeks in the summer of 1978. He was about 20 in thia video. He had major swag! RIP

So tragic he was gone so soon. He was beloved by all the teen girls back then. I should know, I was one of them! The Bee Gees and Andy sure made a lot of people dance. RIP.

They have a sister named Lesley who also sings, but decided to dedicate her time to her marriage and nine children. She did sing with Barry and Maurice during the time that Robin decided to go out on his own for a time.

He sang backing vocals with his brothers in You Should Be Dancing from the movie Saturday Night Fever.

Yes they have an older sister who sang but wanted to raise her family. LESLIE is an English singer, now retired, and a dog breeder. She was formerly a performer with the Bee Gees. She is currently living in New South Wales, Australia. ANDY had a DAUGHTER, /// Peta She still enjoys singing and performing, taking to the stage regularly, solo and also as part of an all-female vocal group, and she has no plans on stopping. One of her greatest joys was singing with her cousins as part of The Gibb Collective... honoring her father, Andy, and her uncles Barry, Robin, and Maurice

During this period, Andy was on fire!🔥He became the first male solo artist to have three consecutive No.1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart, in less than a year! In some ways, Andy was much talented than his brothers. He was co-host on a weekly TV series called Solid Gold. The musical director of SG (who has a YT channel with past shows) said Andy could sing & dance to anything, and with anyone. For a time, he also acted on Broadway. He sang a solo on top of a float in the Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade.
And he had a short term residency in Las Vegas, with other guest stars appearing with him. So much talent & gone too soon, just 5 days after his 30th birthday. We love & miss you, Andy!♥️

Great voice but he really should have spent time in front of a mirror practicing his moves, lol!
Yes, Andy was 11 years younger than Barry but they were working on bringing him into the group when he passed away. There is one video of all 4 of the brothers sing together, "You Should Be Dancing"
