I couldn’t believe when I saw that screw on my T300. It was like an afterthought by an apprentice.

I noticed the adapter not holding for long races.
However I tightened the wheel the hardest I could the first time I put it, and I put the screw quite deep, so it made a hole.
Now I expect the hole to keep it's small size and always screw it back to the same depth.
It's kinda like screwing on soft wood. It gets threaded the first time and then you need to be sure to put it in the same way every other time and never slack with it.

I was very surprised the wheel came with such lousy design for the wheel attachment. I could think of 100 designs to make it secured

I've never had any problem with my wheels [I have an f1 wheel but dont swap them over that much ]but the tape is a great idea and I'll keep it in mind

The screw should be flat, not pointed. It can still grip the flat surface of the quick release adapter on the wheel while preventing it from damaging the adapter further.

You can just grind the end of the screw with a sandpaper (use different grits from abrasive to fine/polish) or use a dremel with a grinding bit to shave off the pointed end and make it as flat as possible.

When u use tm wheels when you tight the screw is aligned with the flat surface and with m'y drift wheel + adapter i can tight it more and the screw is not aligned with the flat surface so i put it aligned with the flat surface and the screw all the way in

If the tread pitch was finer you would be able to tighten it up a lot more and it wouldn’t come loose. ❤Tap the locking nut with a plastic like blunt chisel and a rubber mallet a few times and it should not come loose.

the only issue i had with the original screw i stripped the head over time then i got the same wheel adapter and had the same issues with the loosening of the hub and i got so mad that my solution was drilling a new hole thruh the hub screw and the hub ob the wheel put threads in it, i think i m6 thread and put a nice "big" bolt in there viola never any problems

What for do you need the screw ? What does the screw do?

Just buy a cheap strap wrench . I don’t use the screw at all on my T300 . I’m going to switch to a quick release hub soon . But for now just using the strap wrench has not let me down and I race every day for hours on end .

Hello I just got a problem with my thrustmaster tsxw wheel and pedal set my wheel was doing all kinds of crazy things and sometimes the buttons won't work then other times if hit a button it would do something totally different then what it's supposed to do is there anyway to fix that problem?

Try pushing the QR towards the wheelbase or wheel. I was able to tighten it further. It stuck for longer sessions for me.

I am loving my THRUSTMASTER T500 RS detachable wheel except for one VERY ANNOYING issue. No matter what I do, after driving for 15 or 30 minutes my wheel comes loose no matter how hard I tighten the screw. It is driving my CRAZY!!!!

I never heard that issue maybe the weight of your drift wheel could be a factor aswell

How exactly did you tape your wheel to the original quick release? My wheel is starting to "slip" or lose center while I'm drifting, it makes a grinding noise because it's the screw or something slipping on the threads. I can drift for about 2 or 3 minutes, stop and check the center and my wheel in relation to the car will be turned either left or right about 20 or 30 degrees and the cars wheels are straight. Extremely annoying for trying to be consistent.

I have sort of an off the topic question if you don't mind. I bought an suitable adaptor for both 74 and 70mm and a wheel but the 74mm wheel on it it's not centered straight sadly. In control panel of the app it shows 52 percent leaning to the right. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks.
