I used to hate doing chainharrowing work myself as I started doing it from a very young age of 8 using a diesel TD Ferguson tractor and then using other makes of tractor’s with sound cabs on but I always enjoyed doing rolling work in the spring along with other projects like fencing and hedge layering work.

Grass is just right for Harrows and the muck will break down bloody well also fills any hoof marks on the ground

Harrowing is OK but I never looked forward to using Cambridge Ring Rolling. So slow it was boring and I fell asleep more than once. Awful if a cold wind was blowing without a cab. Did similar when the Water Co laid a sewer across our land. 360 Driver dug out a small pond; all it cost was a bottle of scotch - still home to a lot of wildlife.

An interesting little video, Richard, but spoiled by the noise from the tractor by not having the doors on. No wonder Harry got tired of chain harrowing. The harrows are noisy enough anyway. Crack on!

Listening to a woman today saying where has all the flys moths bee's wasps all the insect's gone and I think she's right wonder what will happen to bats and birds as it's there source of food himm

When I was his age that's all I wanted to do Harry doesn't realise lucky he is that Massey's cab is in the same state of disrepair as the Ford 5000 cab on the family farm was and still is lacking about 90% of the sound deadening missing mind
you I would probably be half deaf now.
