Franklin and CJ are Cousins. Thats what Fonteno said at ComiCon 2013 in the GTA V Panel. Someone asked, which other Game Character Luke, Ogg and Fonteno would like to play. Fonteno answered something like:" I would play Franklinks Cousin, which is also my real life cousin, CJ."

I always thought CJ was Franklin, he just changed his name to Franklin, and they might look like Franklin at the end of the game, strong and with the same haircut, and the Grove Street families gang is passive towards Franklin unless you shoot a gun near them or hurt someone or stare at them.

Y'all know you can see CJ in the game right? During the mission where you are doing the drug deal with Lamar and Trevor (can't remember the mission name) you can see some bikers who are obviously CJ, Big Smoke, and Sweet. This may not have anything to with anything but hey ya never know.
