As a Playstation owner I do respect that Microsoft is giving their console real backwards compatibility unlike the Ps4. The Ps2 to Ps4 games won't be huge until they expand their library more.

Xbox right now is in my favor there giving away the game for free and gold is not even required, Playstation could be generous and get of there renting service and in return for backwards compatibility

if the game is going to get ported on current gen, then they're most likely not going to become backwards compatible. for example, I doubt any of the bioshocks will make it since it's likely they're making an HD collection. they're only going to release games they can't profit from

Shame that most games run a lot worse than if they were running on 360. Halo Reach is unplayable on Xbox one and runs mostly at 15fps.
