Open vs Closed Rhinoplasty | What's the difference?

There are two types of rhinoplasty surgery: closed, scarless rhinoplasty and open, structural rhinoplasty. A closed rhinoplasty is typically performed in instances where the dorsal hump is reduced, the upper bridge is narrowed, or the septum is straightened to improve airflow. For more complex cases or revision rhinoplasties that require tip elevation or cartilage grafts, an open rhino is often necessary to give patients their ideal outcome.

During a rhinoplasty consultation with Dr. Hussain, he'll always first ask patients what bothers them about their nose to see if their vision aligns with what he sees, ensuring that he can deliver their desired results.
