He sits alone on Christmas with the TV he broke in front of him and considers his options. Should he aspire to be a saint or resign himself to be a grinch? Embracing despair he publicly dances; a cry for help heard by many but answered by none.

He’s become something that he believes is monstrous and unacceptable, but he’s still finding the motivation to put himself out there and express himself so confidently, to the point of not even caring if people like it.

after viewing it a few times I keep coming to the same conclusion. his flaws like his anger make him choose grinch because he knows he's not good enough to become a saint but even after becoming a monster he still retains his humanity. when he chooses to dance in spite of how other people see him, he's free. That's why it's so profound when it ends with the tale of the christmas cretin. he's only a cretin because of how he refuses to give in to despair. and when other people look at him with disdain, they become grinches themselves. Amazing what someone can do with a 2 minute animation.
