At the age of three, Molly and Maggie Cerda received a diagnosis of Combined Immune Deficient Disease (CIDD). Because of how severe this illness is, even a simple cold can have disastrous effects. Their mother Terri has dedicated her life to global relief work, organising search and rescue canine services for disasters across the globe, while their father Chuck is employed by Homeland Security. Both of their parents are active members of the community.
