Excellent video! Your advice seems spot on. And on a personal note, I also appreciate your delivery, which is blessedly quiet after all the hyperactive "HEYWHATSUPY'ALL!!" style of so many YT channels. Keep up the good work!

STRENGTH Gosh I’m absolutely shocked that any runner would still neglect it with all the science now available!!! I also make sure to do 1 or 2 yoga/ Body Balance sessions per week with lots of barefoot balance exercises … truly underrated in the running world!!!

That's one problem I don't have - I live in the Highlands. Cudos to those of you who train for hilly ultras without hills! And I second the comment about your calm delivery. I appreciate not having my ears assaulted!

Great video thanks Chris. The slant wedges sound a good investment when preparing for a mountain race. That is a good point about protecting the knees.

Nice video 😊 this gives some more information than the short clip! I could've listened a while longer though 😉

I wish I had watched this 3 months ago! I blew my quads on UTS 25k a couple of weeks ago running the steep downhill, but that was a training run for the Cateran Yomp I'm hoping to run in 2 weeks time. My lesson from UTS - take my time on the downhill sections! I'll be doing this afterwards so my future ones aren't nightmare quad burners!

My neighborhood is absolutely full of incline and decline hills.

These are very helpful ! What is the inclination % that you see the treadmill and have you used the steps for long Zone 2 ?

Nice video Chris! Really appreciate it! What is the type of tempo workout you do on the stair climbers and treadmill? I am training for the 50k Snowdonia from London...
