Testament's The Legacy: a landmark record in the world of thrash metal. This was probably the most delayed remaster (sorry) due to my previous attempts falling flat. Turns out that all I needed was a little bit more experience.

The original EQ spectrum was one of the weirdest I've seen with the bass peak ending at an early 60hz and with an extremely scooped mid range. But I've managed to smooth out all those things.

Fantastic Remaster. These producers back in the 80's didn't know what they were doing. Great job on this great tune. 👍

Yeah, producers back then were amateurs themselves. The big studios were afraid of Heavy was a new crazy genre to them. They thought this was a passing fad that would die in 1 or 2 years. But some of their ambitous, young inexperienced employees saw potential in it. They left their employers and started up their own little recording studios. Yeah, they probably had inferior equipment because they had low or little start up money. And the musicians themselves didn't know much about recording either. The band was just happy to get if it was to a new, unknown, start up studio.
Thus the shitty sound quality from a lot of those early to mid 80's metal albums.
But hey, something is better than nothing at all, right?
