You can try to reset the CMOS by removing the CMOS (otherwise known at RTC) battery and leaving it (remove normal battery as well) for 5 minutes. If this does not work, you should check out HP document c01798858 (can't post links here, just google it) and try that method. However, most of the time on enterprise grade equipment, you need to replace the motherboard to get around a BIOS password.

I bought this from eBay is a caddy necessary? My laptop didn’t come with a charger or caddy. I have lots of a Dell charger that fits the charger hole and is 90 W but for some reason the laptop is not turning on or even showing the charging light. When I run my fingers on the top of this laptop it is a tiny bit of electricity so I think that it is getting power but it’s not charging why I also put a hard drive in without a caddy
