Processing Pending

Your visa case has been refused under Section 221(g) of the U.S. Immigration and Nationality Act.

Further administrative processing of your application is required before a decision can be made regarding your eligibility for a visa. Administrative processing, on average takes four months, but we are unable to estimate the amount of time it will take for any particular applicant.

As soon as this processing is completed, the Embassy will send you an email providing further instructions.

Note: If the status of the principal applicant is “pending”, derivatives must need to wait for the principal applicant.

Sir, I need help from you. I am an F1 visa holder and my visa has been stuck since 24 August 2022. On 24 August I was interviewed and after finishing the interview visa officer gave me a 221g white slip where he marked Update i-20 to mail them and give my passport back but wrote down to pay vfs when I would mail them. I am from Bangladesh. My program started on 23 August but unfortunately, I got my appointment date on 24 August then I gave my interview. So, it's been 5 months there is no update on my ceac status. Just seem it 'refused' with the administration processing related something. And Eventually, the main problem is My previous university I mean which university I belong to, but right now they are not accepting my deferral request. I think it's the main issue for did not complete my case. But I paid my service fee. Write now what should I do sir? Will I get my visa or will I be denied? It's kind of frustrating going on sir.

Thank you very much for the video. I went for my interview at Burkina Faso on the 25th April, 2023, and after the interview, the VO retained my passport, I-20, bank statement and Academic certificate while she said I will get a call later. Up till now, I have not heard back. If I may ask, does the VO wanna verify my docs and is there any need for me to submit any other later? In addition, do I stand a better chance? Me: I chose UNH because of Professor Y Xiao research work matched with my interest and we have had contact already. In addition to that, the cultural diversity towards international students is really amazing and also the program's curriculum in biochemical related courses made me chose the university

VO: Who will fund your trip?
Me: I was granted a 50% dean scholarship which covers part of my tuition. In addition, my mum and uncle will be funding the deficit. My Uncle has been responsible for my education ever since I started my high school. He believes in my potential of being a great scientist in the future, and also due to the fact that I am first generation makes him fund my education. He is in to real estate business where he sells and buys houses and also has houses that are meant for rent.

VO: Houses here in BF or Nigeria?
Me: Here in Burkina Faso

Me: Continued the sponsor He also deals with automobile business where he sells cars, lorry and trucks and also their parts. His annual income is 50m cfa with a staff strength of 20.
VO: okay

vO: Do you have your Certificate and Bank statement?
Me: Yes, and I forwarded it.

VO: Typed for long and called a lady to photocopy my certificate and she returned the original to me.
Me: After like 2 mins silence, I asked if she would like to know my research (the one I wanna do with the Professor- because it is something I like to be telling people)

VO: she said yes! She would love to know
Me: I narrated the research in a lay man terms that she understood.

VO: That's fine. She took a green paper and mark Administrative processing there, then she packed my passport, banks statement, I-20 and certificate in one side, and she said they will call me later.

I was put into Administrative Processing after my interview, I applied for IR5 because I am a parent of an American citizen. My wife was approved back in November and she us going to the US with my son in March.
My American citizen son is autistic, do you think I have a chance to speed up this process?

Hello, I forgot to bring my original English birth certificate along with Bangla, so the council officer asked me to submit it along with my passport; I did; it's been one month already, but I don't know their next step. Hi, After interview at New Delhi, India, VO returned my passport and gave me blue slip. Case created and my visa status was Refused under 221g. Sent required docs and next day and my visa status changed to Administrative Processing. After 1 month I received mail asking me to submit my passport. Couple of days after submitting my passport my Visa status again changed to Refused instead of Approved. Does it mean my VISA got denied? I dont understand why they ask me to submit my passport if they are not issuing my visa? Need suggestion. Thanks
