Good lord, how is EVERY inch of your sketchbook just as delightful as the last?!

That silence at 14:49. I felt that. Seeing your sketchbook makes me want to paint again. It's been a while, so thanks!

I absolutely love each and every of these sketchbooks <3 There's gorgeous studies and almost finihed paintings but also doodles and scribbles in paint ... it shows you have so much joy with painting and loving your painting as much as you do and it's absolutely amazing to see <3

I just watercolor in the regular moleskine sketchbooks, since the watercolor sketchbooks aren't available currently at local shops. But I took some watercolor paper off a big block I had laying around (like HUGE block) and bound a small sketchbook with it, and am currently working on nature studies in it!

Pentalic discontinued these sketchbooks before I could get my hands on one. I'm from Canada too and all of the stores near me don't carry them anymore. Some sites in the US do but shipping is insanely expensive. Hoping one day they'll bring the aqua journals back.

Hey Mary. I didn’t know that I’ve studied your work for some time and didn’t know it. I’ve been a long time Royal Tyrell fan and each winter watch the Speaker Series. Then started to get into painting in 2020 and circled around to learn that you’re the one behind the museum’s paleo art! So it leads me to a very important question: What’s your favorite Mesozoic synapsid?

Hi Mary, I discovered you recently when I was looking for gouache related info. I live in Ontario so I like checking the products you mention like the Beam paints. When you make your own paints, do you find that the colours fade away with time? I would like to try doing that one day! Thanks for sharing your sketchbook, I feel inspired after seeing this video.
