This video is perfect. Much more helpful than all the blogs/articles I was reading on how to choose a surf foil. Cheers.

Awesome video! If I could share any tips:

If you are new to prone foiling, the board is key. You want a board that’s longer and wider and has stability. It will give you the stable platform you need to find your backed and get in the foil. A slower and more stable foil is also preferred.

Don’t be afraid to start with used gear. You’re gonna learn quickly and grow out of it. But it’s often gear you need to form fundamentals and then you’ll know what to get.

Thanks for this video it helps a lot. Been surfing 40 years and wingfoil this last two and riding waves comfortably. I’ve been thinking about prone foil and used my Naish hover 75l with my fone phantom 1280 85cm mast for a session the other day. I’m only 65 kg so it seems like the foil aspect is covered. I’ll use the board for a while and then invest in a proper prone foil board. This video helps a lot interesting info about the stab I’ve been thinking about messing around with that for the winging changing from the c275🤙🤙

@poseidonwatersportsuk This is super helpful info.
I am about 80kg or 175lbs and looking to prone/surf foil here in Hawaii as a beginner.
Would a 5.0' x 20.0" 44L prone board be an ok spec to start with?

Thanks a lot for the precise info.!!! I have a question, If I buy my first setup from a brand, let's say f-one, then I can use wings from other brands with that mast, fuselage and stabilizer.??

Can I mix the equipment or I need to keep buying the same brand in order to improve my setup.?!? Thanks in advance.!!!! 🤙🤙🤙

4, 5 really? I just read the advice on gong: To be comfortable we recommend removing 25 to your weight in order to define the ideal volume. For example on the Lance:

If I weigh 65kg, I take 25 off, I get to 40. So I’m going for the Lance 5’0.
If I weigh 75kg, I take 25, I get to 50. I go for the Lance 5’4.
If I weigh 85kg, I take 25, I get to 60. I go for the Lance 5’8.

They dont even have 4, 5...
