Ngl after watching a bunch of your videos from seeing them pop up. My games of pool have drastically improved, well up until I broke my radius in my arm in a couple places. So the cast gets in the way, however still playing with mates at my local pub just have to hold the cue a bit weird lol. Great video non the less. Keep up the great work 👍.

Playing rail first is an absolute push. I don’t know a single tournament that would allow that, let alone an actual pool player.

Technically false...

First shot, foul every day of the week even if you're drunk...

Second shot, you have to slow the video down to see it but, because of the way this player followed through the cue ball, the stick not only hit the rail (valid in most games) but, the cue stick had to hit the cue ball more than once. Likely twice, 2nd tap being as the cue ball came off the rail.

In any event, it's unnecessary to follow through so aggressively on this kind of shot. All you have to do is clear the obstacle ball. Maximum high English will allow the stick to over pass the cue ball and compress that rail to give the clearance. Better cue ball control for position plays as well.

The red ball moves behind the cue ball after the first shot, if the second one was set up like the second one, it would have hit the red ball away
