You're right, they do need to bring this type of music back.

I love smooth jazz and smooth r&b and this a mixture of both. This is a soulful smooth jazz tune to me. It is very pretty and silky. I love melodic music.

Your reaction and KevOnStage's were the best reactions to Bobby.

I first heard Bobby sing on radio back in 2007 on a local jazz radio which had him as a favorite artist and What You Won't Do For Love as a favorite track. Seriously, that song brings back good memories of FM radio after school on the bus home.

I'm old enough to remember being jaw-drop-shocked as a kid watching tv and seeing a black country singer named Charlie Pride. In an era of 'Laugh In', when 'novelty acts' were common, I thought this was just someone being funny. But he was the 'real deal'. 64 years old enough to know better, but still too often go by appearances

KevOnStage had a mid-life crisis after seeing this!

Glad I clicked on this. I’d never even heard of Bobby Caldwell. I saw “blue eyed soul” and that was enough to capture my interest. DAMN can he belt!!

No need for apologies to white people I thought he was black, I'm white.

I was listening to this in 1978. I appreciated it then, appreciate it now. Much love

I'm real surprised black people didn't he was white! This old to me this is over 20 years old. Teena Marie and Michael McDonald both white and sing better then some of black people in industry today.

I've been listening to this song for years and I never realized that a white man was singing it.

Just goes to show the color of your skin don't mean a thing.. its what's on the inside that makes you who you are..

But in all honesty, I've always thought it was a black dude that sang this.. lol 😆
