Play Dead by Björk as a James Bond opening (Spectre)

I took the worst James Bond opening and fixed it. Initially I thought it couldn't be saved, but when I replaced the "music" with real music by a real musician everything suddenly worked. The movie is still a boring piece of shit, but atleast we got this now, right?

This works because Play Dead was a film score piece. This was composed for the film ‘The Young Americans’ and was written along with David Arnold ( who does the bond stuff now ) . It still baffles me that the bond producers didn’t have the balls to wait for the Radiohead track that was produced for The film. Sorry but they missed the chance to have one of the all time greatest bond themes, up there with the Bassey & Simon

I’ve always loved this song, but I am amazed how perfectly it works with these title credits. Even the ‘death’ lyric times with the skull appearing on screen. Arnold’s sweeping strings are fabulous and it’s no surprise he went on to do several Bond scores. Thank you for this.

When I first heard the Bjork song Bachelorette I thought it had a 007 title sequence feel to it. Glad someone had a similar idea.

The embrace Scream curling lyrics synched well with the imagery.... and the theme of Bjork's song & the ambience of it fits this Bond opening beautifully. Well done.

I was always baffled why Bjork was never called upon to do a Bond score. But yeah, I'd have to also rate Spectre as the worst Bond movie. Sterling work with the video, but forgive me I have to leave because I'm getting all wound up thinking about how bad Spectre is again.

Tonally and thematically this fits the movie so perfectly. And, weirdly, I wasn't a huge fan of Spectre but with as the lead in suddenly the movie seems better. To be fair, all Bond theme songs should be sung by women. And while I enjoyed Skyfall, is Bjork's voice actually the perfect James Bond theme song voice?
