RIP Burt Bacharach. What an eloquent version of a brilliant song.

I had the pleasure and the honour, of working opposite Bill Evans and Eddie Gomez at a gig the John Handy band which pianist Mike Nock and I were members of, sharing a week of nightly performances, in San Fran Sisco at the Both And Jazz Club, 1968. What a joy this was, listening each night to one of the greatest Jazz Pianists of our time.

Jazz, beyond jazz. Go elsewhere. Purest pearls of a music that reaches the top of the sublime. Grazie Bill.

Lovely! My Great Aunt Olga was his piano teacher. She taught him well ;)

One of only a few pianists who can make any piano sound like their own unique instrument. The others in my opinion are McCoy Tyner, Monk and Ellington.

Bill recorded this several times. My favorite is on his album, "California Here I Come" This is a live album, when he had Philly Joe Jones on drums.
