NPC Advantages: 1 intimidator (arcanine, tauros, staraptor) required to counter the attack buffs from dragon dance. gardevoir (life dew) and paralyzers (umbreon, dudunsparce, bellibolt) are double-edged swords because they interfere with the fainting strategy, but otherwise help survival.

Strategy: throat chop. leer, attack cheer. if you survived that turn, wait for your stats to reset and defense cheer and get yourself KO'd. after respawning bulldoze. throat chop NPC intimidator. optional rest. terastalize. throat chop tyranitar until shield breaks. optional leer. throat chop until tyranitar resets its stats. optional leer. throat chop to victory.

Notes : the purpose of the first leer is to avoid activating the shell bell or wasting a cheer while working toward fainting. the purpose of throat chopping NPC intimidator is to trigger intimidate sooner and recover more HP than shell bell would against the shield before terastalizing.

Pros: supereffective tera type, fantastic attack stat, excellent defense stat, outspeed tyranitar even after 1 dragon dance. resists crunch and stone edge before terastalizing. resists shadow claw and crunch after terastalizing. no weaknesses. leer debuffs defense 1 stage when shield is down. anger point sets attack stat stages to +6 when receiving a critical hit (which is guaranteed to happen quickly due to tyranitar's focus energy and shadow claw giving it 100% chance of critical hit). rest heals full HP bar. throat chop has 80 base power, 100 accuracy, and deals supereffective (STAB when terastalized) damage. shell bell heals when attacking, an amount equal to 1/8th of damage dealt.

Cons: tera type mismatches base type. poor HP stat. cannot taunt or debuff attack

A normal Tauros can't be affected by any Ghost type attacks. How well do you think it will fare in this battle?

This hasn't been working for me at all. NPCs are Staraptor, Mudsdale, Weavile. I get KO'd after the attack cheer, then get the bulldoze off, but it always gets in the second dragon dance before I can throat chop the Staraptor and KOs me because it moves first. I don't understand how you are outspeeding it with just 1 bulldoze after 2 dragon dances.
