Nintendo Switch Rally – Episode 2: Up in ARMS!

Ready … set … SWITCH! Three teams from Smosh Games and Game Grumps race across Los Angeles to play various Nintendo Switch games like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, 1-2-Switch, ARMS and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe to see who can earn the most points and be crowned … THE NINTENDO SWITCH RALLY CHAMPION!

This episode takes the teams to a local boxing gym to compete in the upcoming Nintendo Switch multiplayer fighting game ARMS. With Team Bowser in the lead, can Team Mario and Team Peach punch their way to a comeback?

I understand that Joven can be annoying be pushing himself into people's personal space without thought, but the guys in Smosh games are not all like that. They're friendly, cool people who just happen to be less reserved than the Game Grumps. They open up more easily unlike the Game Grumps, which makes them more outwardly goofy in person. The Game Grumps are definitely not reserved on their channel or their fanbase, but that's because that's their show, and they are talking to "their people." Now they're put in a situation where they have to interact with people with whom they don't feel any obligation in being their friends. I actually like the energy that Smosh Games brought more than what Ross is doing. Don't get me wrong, I think Ross is generally an awesome dude, but when you're meeting people, trying to be friendly and open to who they are goes a long way. You don't have to be their best friend, but just try to be yourself like you would when you're with your friends. If they like you for who you are, cool. If not, that's cool too.

Doing a scavenger hunt in Zelda while on the rides between stops is a very clever way to show off the Switch. Nintendo is nailing the marketing of this thing, keeping it fresh and fun!
