Very quiet but hook you from the first episode series. The last episode in particular was brilliantly acted. Can’t help but wonder would Jamie Bulgers Mam want the opportunity to speak with Thompson and Venables and if she did what would she want from them. Poor little fella.

Such a great show! Kelly Macdonald is excellent, as usual. If anyone's curious it's loosely based on the murder of James Bulger. He was two years old when he was killed by a pair of ten year old boys. After being incarcerated until their 18th birthday they were released and given new identities. James' murder was unfortunately much more gruesome and if you're curious to research it know that it's not easy to stomach.

Excellent series. The writing was immaculate as was the acting by all especially Kelly. The twists caught me completely off guard. I'll say no more but watch it. 🤐

I feel so sad for Craig James! and Rebekah Grace Denton /Julia Roberts from Eat, Pray, Love!!! They get the brunt of everyone else’s problems.... and Rebekah is an innocent victim of grief from losing 🙈😓💔 house broken into, property trashed, and strange looks from people calling her a loose woman and scorned by society!

John Hannah? I'll be a minute, I'll just get a beer : )
I've just finished binge-watching this series and here's what I saw: a slow start and not enough John Hannah BUT a lot of everything else.
It is emotional and puts you on the edge of your seat with anger and disbelief as to why justice is so cold and revenge is so much like a burning fire.
It points out the difference between the two, though. Not like a moral stand but rather like background music, just subtly.
As for the performance of the actors, they deeply inhabit their roles and were cast to perfection. Once again, the BBC has commissioned a great series.
