Instead of spending money on a new garden apron that's going to get dirty, Spring Warren, author of The Quarter-Acre Farm, recycles an old pair of jeans instead—making an apron without any sewing.

TRANSCRIPT
Rather than buying garden apron that you know is going to get dirty, make one out of an old pair of jeans instead. Start by cutting off the legs of the jeans an inch below the back pockets. Then flip it over and, starting from the zipper, cut right below the waistband to the side seam on each side. Then cut down each side seam and that's it; your apron is finished. You just put it on around your waist and fasten the button like you would a regular pair of pants. And the great thing is the back pockets are wonderful for putting in seeds, clippers or anything else you might need in the garden.

Within seconds, this woman shows a very easy way to create a garden apron by using an old pair of jeans. With no sewing involved, all you need is a pair of scissors. She starts by cutting off the legs and then cutting right below the waistband to the side seam. The last step is cutting down the side seam, and the apron is complete. What a simple project to create something so useful!

The Dorito Consommé jokes are what makes this channel worthwhile to more than half it's subscribers, if you don't like it, don't read it.

If you can sew, you can also use the legs to make kitchen aprons/painting aprons. :) Great way to use up as much of the material as possible.

LOL! You're assuming that someone can still get the thing around their waist.

If you want the apron to last a while longer, sew a hem on the bottom cut. If you do not, the fabric will start to unravel and fall apart as you use it.

O puedes donarlo a un centro de ayuda para personas sin hogar y no malgastarlos.

This is great, I made a Super cute Tulip skirt out of a pair of Pants legs. Now I know what to do with the top part.

You know, if you grow some corn in that apron you can make chips and maybe even grow a southwestern kick.

You could also use the pant legs instead of cheese cloth, when finishing your Doritos Consomme.

Do you put anything on the end to stop it from fraying?
