They forgot or maybe don't know, the Lantern Corp gave Batman a green ring once to see what he could do with it, the result was over powered. Batman can use the green ring, he can also make use of the yellow ring of fear. Batman is a living example of if you think it's safe you aren't trying hard enough, Batman tries really, really hard.
