Unemployed at 31 years. Divorved, been through years of abuse, chased out of my mother's home. I am now homeless, squatting here and there with my 6 year old autistic son. I still say that Jesus is Lord, He is God and besides Him there is no other God. Jeso o ntekane, praise be to the king. Oh Jeso O Ntekane 😭😭😭 at 12:30 - 16:00 of the song describes my exact life. My mother in 2017 was diagnosed with a brain tumor, in and out of hospital to a point where the hospital staff became family. I resigned from work to take care of her, as she went from being a strong and vibrant woman to something I couldn't believe. She lost her sight, she couldn't talk, she couldn't walk, she couldn't bath herself, she couldn't feed herself. After numerous operations and procedures, medical aid paid over a million rand in bills but it wasn't enough. I questioned God. I was angry. I was scared. I remember, 14 December 2018, she was discharged and the doctor didn't even want to speak to us as a family. One nurse came to me and gave me a tight hug and whispered, "Take her home, spend the holidays with her, you'll be lucky if she'll make it to Christmas". Driving home, I had to hold my tears in because she was in the car and I didn't want her to hear me breaking down as I was driving home. At that moment, my world caved in. 16 December 2018 I had a prayer with her releasing her, 30 minutes later she passed on peacefully in her sleep. 21 December, she was laid to rest. Early January the following year, I broke up with my then girlfriend, who I found was cheating on me during this traumatic period in my life. Fast forward, April 2024, I hear "Jeso O Ntekane". Blessed beyond measure, married to a beautiful woman, raising all my kids in one home, self-employed and seeing the grace of God over my life and business, lacking nothing. Jeso O Ntekane... The time I heard this song whilst I was driving, it touched a place that I hadn't visited in a long while, tears poured down my face, in the car driving to a business meeting, my eyes were blood shot red when I arrived, the meeting was like an interview, within 10 minutes of me leaving, I got a call that I was awarded the contract. Oh Jeso O Ntekane 🙌🙌🙌 I have seen the power of God in my life. In the song, its like a farfetched story, but to some like myself its a testimony.
