I am a fan of Prof. Shiller. But "no better way than giving away"? What about investing back to the economy?

I bought multifamily and houses in 2013-2016 as a business renting them out. It is a lot of work. A lot

But I also have friends who just bought back then when shiller was saying not to buy and they increased their net worth 3 x. Due to leverage and mortgages. You only put 10-20% down but the returns are on the 100% value of property

If he/she earned it legally, he should keep the wealth legally. He will never spend that much of money, finally passed on somewhere whom will spend it. Putting toooo many rules into the society just makes CPA rich, tax complicated. We can encourage them the super riches to help the society, the poor, etc. but we should not twist their arms! How many social engineering rules we need to make a good society? We just have to educate the tops well is better than controlling them!

I totally agree with Shiller to be a giver instead a taker, IF I GOT 10 billion dollars. I will, if I am that kind RICH.
