I have been cooking as chef since 1964 now retired . It would be better after you sanitize the counter (food prep area) Do your food prep work on top of clean saran wrap or paper towel or paper plate BUT do not work on a bare counter. we need to keep away germs & bacteria.

Don’t recommend this product. The Sandwich does not come out nice and crunchy or golden but rather flattened with a smooth surface, just not a decent sandwich experience even when I buttered the outside it still wasn’t getting the same affect, that I could achieve with a more cheaper brand. I got mine for $20 at Walmart.
