Try this on your own...
Dan had 50% fewer stickers than Jeff. After Jeff gave 20 of his stickers to Dan, Dan had 40% fewer stickers than Jeff (had after he gave away 20 of his stickers). How many stickers did Dan have at first?

I love this example. Singapore method is brilliant. I don’t know very well algebra but Visual approach is for me easy and enjoyable. Thank you

Wouldn’t dan have 75 stickers at first because when Jeff gave 15 stickers to dan, dan had 40% fewer than Jeff, so that means Jeff had 150 at first, because for 15 stickers it’s 10 percent, so with that 75 +15=90, and since 60 is 40% of 150 and also that 90+60=150. This is why dan had 75 stickers at first.
