Beating Kasparov is a flex
Beating in 18 moves is next level
Beating just one month before his death is just crazyy

Mikhail tal is the reason I fell in love with the game of chess. His ability to sacrifice pieces and create chaos on the board were awe inspiring. I’d never thought in a million years that a game of chess could be enjoyable. Seeing his brilliant attacking concepts paired with his relentless pressure makes the game of chess infinitely more interesting. I hate how some people try to discredit Tals play by saying how bad it is with engine analysis. Enjoy the beauty of his chess and let’s all simply appreciate who Misha was. RIP to the Magician of Riga. A true LEGEND

Mikhail Tal is very different than Bobby or magnus. His goal was to create magic on the chessboard doesn’t matter if he wins or lose.

if you don't understand why the queen is sacrificed, it means you are watching Mikhail Tal's game.

Only Tal could have the magician title. And Bobby agreed to that.

Bobby fischer's win rate is 57% probably. Magnus carlsen win rate is 42%+. Obviously Magnus got the most competitive opponents. And Mikhail Tal's win rate is 65%+. He was awesome ❤

There's got to be something so poetic about a man who doesn't quit on his own craft out of pure love and passion for that sport and dedicates his entire life on it until death meets him.

Magnus and Bobby played to win, with engine like precision. Tal on the other hand played for the love of the game, as some would say, played for the crowd! The beautiful sacrifice made a person sitting in time pressure to crack, but engines do refute his lines. Nonetheless we are humans, so the creativity of Tal is what make him best chess player to watch, of all time IMO.
