Huawei P40 Pro BEST CHEAP SUPER SLOW MOTION Camera Phone Test

The Huawei P40 Pro is the best cheap super slow motion camera phone available, as we'll see in this simple ultra slow motion test. At around £600 its a cheap super slow motion camera phone compared to the very expensive high end professional slow motion video cameras on the market today. I haven't gone into the Huawei P40 Pro's slow motion settings in-depth, as that's for another video if people request it in the comments. But I will say, like all slow motion cameras, the P40 Pro's super slow motion function needs lots of light to capture the slow-mo footage. This is because slow motion cameras run at high speed and therefore need more light to capture the information.

The Huawei P40 pro slow motion fps options are; 120 fps (4 X speed), 240 fps (8 X speed), 960 fps (32 X speed), 1920 fps (64 X speed) and 7680 fps (256 X speed). Another thing to be aware of is that anything shot in 960 fps or lower is captured in 1080p (HD), while anything above that such as 1920 fps or 7680 fps is captured in 720p and therefore less quality.

All things considered, Huawei's P4O Pro is a much cheaper alternative and probably the best high speed video camera phone around for shooting good quality slow motion and super slow motion video footage for the amateur and semi-professional film maker.

i don't know too much about slow mo tech, but the 7680 fps footage looks very strange to me. at 3:20, it seems like the glass shatters immediately, but the broken pieces fall apart very slowly. so some movements look extremely slow, while others do not.

Thank you very much for this video, it’s clear that the 7680fps is using interpolation, but I was expecting that, and I’m glad you could confirm it for me.

It’s hard to tell if it’s just 2x or if it’s 4x interpolation, but either way it’s more than enough for something as small and cheap as a smartphone.

Yes, it can do 7680fps, but don't forget it's because of frame reprojection. It probably records in 3840fps or lower and add reprojected frames.

There is only one problem with slow motion on Huawei P40 Pro. Duration of record. It stops before the footage is ended and there is no possibility to record longer videos above 8x slow motion. Despite of that preaty nice.

As an airgun shooter i like your video :) you try filmic pro software ? You can switch between other lenses at filmic pro when shooting slowmo :) for example native camera app always use wide lens, you can use main lens at filmic

My mobile can do max 960 fps and decided to turn from 960 fps to 7680 fps with an app
