This song is so sad. I feel like it perfectly captures the feeling of fighting a never ending battle and knowing you will still lose, knowing that there's no hope because your battle is a lost cause, but you keep fighting anyway. This is the only song from the DS trilogy that makes me cry, and i can't help but do it everytime i hear it. Such a beautiful song, yet so sad.

i tried dark souls 3 back in 2017, got pretty stuck and frustrated. So i quit the game around the dancer boss fight. I can happily say after 7 years i came back to this game, started a fresh save and finally beat my first play through just moments ago. The end credit music is glorious. Im glad I came back

tbh i cried when this theme starts playing after finishing the game! DS3 will be my most favorite game of all time i played other souls games yep nothing beats ds3

"Epilogue" is the final swansong of the Dark Souls world.
The lullaby to sing a dying world to rest.
A final farewell.
A reflection of all that happened during the Age of Fire and its unnaturally extended lifespan.
Every God and Dragon ever celebrated and felled. Everyone who ever linked the fire and what their Age of Fire brought, however insignificant.
And most of all, this song dwells on what will come next for the world depending on what your Unkindled Ash chooses.
Will the Age of Fire, the age that allows the gods to prosper and the humans to suffer and hollow out, continue?
Or will the Age of Dark be allowed to come into being, bringing humans into their rightful place as the next beings in power, and allowing for the renewal of the universe by ridding itself of the stagnation that the unnaturally extended Age of Fire cursed it with?


Yuka Kitamura is one of the most talented musical artists ever. I think that her abilities trancend game music, and she deserves so much more recognition than she gets. She could EASILY rock the academy if she ever ventured into film composition.

Finally beat DS3 recently. This game is truly beautiful. I cannot think of a better way to finish the trilogy.

Came back to add: Man, the way this music hits at 3:14...It truly is something special. It even feels really emotional to a grown man like me. Easily one of the best pieces of credits music I have heard in a game in a very long time.
