WEIRD Makeup Brushes | How to Use & Are They Any Good?

Testing WEIRD makeup brushes; how do you use them and are they any good? Some are the best foundation brush for full coverage and others are the worst brushes for foundation application. I'm testing each of these weird beauty tools to apply liquid foundation and letting you know if they're worth getting or not!

the Besame brush is really more for the traditional "cooking" powder method. You took a powder puff and packed all of your powder products including things like blush (bronzer wasn't really a thing in the 1930s) then used the brush to get off the excess and blend the powder at the same time. Its the reason why some women were VERY rouged at the time, the blush got everywhere as you blended your powder.

The makeup forever paint brush is pretty funny if you read the comments on the website. There were lots of ppl admitting to using
"regular" paint brushes from home depot for their foundation. I don't see a problem with that it's just super interesting.

I have seen a theatrical make-up artist use the third brush: when the whole make-up application is finished, you run this brush only once on your face (forehead, left than right cheek + nose). It removes the surplus of powdery products to give a more flawless result which photographs/films much better, especially in HD.

The paintbrush-looking brush is actually kind of adorable. It's a little intimidating how big it is (for someone like me who sucks with makeup, I feel like it'd go EVERYWHERE) but definitely cute. The vintage brush will make a killing with the retro crowd, I'm sure. I secretly love it. Lastly, I've been seeing a lot of these Artis brushes around lately so it's nice to get an honest review about it. Thanks for a great video!

during the 30s, foundation was set by "beating" the face with a massive powder puff and the whole face was covered in excess powder. it basically was left on to bake while they applied the eye makeup and then that brush you reveiwed would brush away the excess powder, leaving a fully baked face and it would look flawless. as someone addicted to makeup and vintage stuff, I'd LOVE to try it for the purpose.

I adore the Artis brushes, they make the foundation go a long way and make the coverage as full as possible. they also make eyeshadow look so pigmented.
