My parents got married in Reno at the courthouse. They went to Burger King after and shared a whopper because they didn't have much. They were married for 24 years before my dad lost his cancer battle in 2018. Jessica thanks for reminding me of this and for making me laugh. My dad had a dark sense of humor and wouldve laughed at that joke as well.

I went to McDonald’s after getting married at a registry office (UK equivalent of city hall). We had no money and never went to McDonald’s, so it was a treat! We’re still married many, many years later so it worked out fine.
