R.I.P One of the best. He talked with his guitar and sang well too. We must never forget him. A really good drummer in the band too. The whole band is just swinging so well . Without bluesmen like these we not have had a Chicago blues scene . No Rolling Stones and no UK blues scene, no Rock'n' Roll too. Amazing that Mississippi with their poverty could have so much good music. A luck for Chicago they came from the south and a luck for the western rock scene when Muddy Waters and other bluesmen from the south came to England.

I was lucky to hear this great blues man 3 times in Belgium. Still get tears in my eyes when I see him on You tube.

saw him once at a concert in Vaulx-en-Velin, in June 2006 i think. Not many people because yeah people don't care much about the blues in Vaulx-en-Velin. But he gave it all. His entire crew they were on fire.... it was hell of a concert. I went there at the last minute. So glad I did! I had never heard of him prior to that... was different back then, not much youtube. Great singer, great player, great music band... What a night, what a memory. I loved electric blues so much it is the greatest suprise ever, to go to a concert of a singer you don't know and... it appears this singer is as good as any of your favorite singers.... i went to BB King concert on September 12th, 2006 in Munich and it was not better than the concert of Magic Slim! RIP to both of 'em...

Love Magic Slim. Saw him twice at small Outdoor settings. Could lean on the stage or stand just a few feet away. Also saw him in a bar with about a capacity of 100 people. Doesn't get any better. RIP Slim
