The sheer number of cases I've seen, where VFR pilots get dragged into inclement weather, without Instrument Rating...

...many of them didn't live to learn from it.

I think it's a no-brainer, to get your Instrument Rating.

Since nearly half of all general aviation pilots are instrument rated, then why do only 15% maintain IFR currency? If they end up flying VFR...was all that IFR training really worth it?

Im half way through my instrument and im way better of a pilot already.
