this pope - in his youth say circa 1820 he will most DEFINATLY have met people who had been born in the 1700s and - just to make this more mindboggling, say in 1820 he met a guy in their 70s/80s who had been born in 1750 ish (well these people would have met people born in the 1600s)! in other words he most definatly as a youth met people born in the 1700s who almost definatly would have met people born in the 1600s!

He was my mother's paternal grandfather's great great uncle & Pope Pivs XII was my mother's paternal grandmother's brother. Leo was born 2 March 1810 in Carpineto, Rome & Pivs was born 2 March 1876 in Rome. They were 2 of the greatest Popes in the past 150 years.
