Abstract: This will be an expository talk with few proofs diving into Thompson groups, quasisymmetries, Julia sets, and how they come together to describe the groups of quasisymmetric homeomorphisms of certain Julia sets. The talk brings together group theory, analysis, and complex dynamics and should be suitable for advanced undergrads.
